New Appraisal Administrative Rules

R162-2g-304d Beginning January 1, 2015, a registered trainee may not claim experience hours for appraisal work unless the trainee and the trainee's supervisor(s) have previously completed the Supervisory Appraiser and Appraiser Trainee Course. 3/31/2014
R162-2g-306a A trainee registered with the division prior to January 1, 2015, shall complete the Supervisory Appraiser and Appraiser Trainee Course by or before December 31, 2014. The Supervisory Appraiser and Appraiser Trainee Course qualifies for continuing education for the supervising appraiser, and, during renewal cycles, for the trainee. 3/31/2014
R162-2g-307b In order to obtain certification of the Supervisory Appraiser and Appraiser Trainee Course, a course provider shall agree to provide a paper copy of the course manual to each attendee. 3/31/2014

R162-2g-307a A school applying for certification is now required to provide the Division with an email address and a copy of the criminal history disclosure statement that will be provided to students, but is no longer required to specify the days, times, and locations of classes. 8/21/2013
R162-2g-307b A school must apply for certification of a pre-licensing course at least 30 days prior to teaching the class. The application no longer requires that the school specify the days, times, and locations of classes. However, a school is required to agree in writing that it will upload to the Division course completion information within 10 business days of the final course session. 8/21/2013
R162-2g-307d An instructor for a pre-licensing course is no longer required to evidence having passed an examination in the subject matter being taught. Once certified, an instructor must comply with the statutory reporting requirements regarding criminal history and regulatory actions. 8/21/2013
